Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) has a few options when it comes to parking at the airport. Parking can be found in two locations, the parking garage and the surface lot. There is also a Cell Phone Waiting Lot available for greeters of arriving travelers.

Parking spaces can be reserved in advance.

Parking Garage at Syracuse Airport

The multi-story parking garage is located in front of the airport’s terminal building. It has over 2,000 parking spaces that include accessible as well as uncovered and covered parking options available for both short- and long-term parking. It is connected to the terminal through two bridges.

Large signs at the entrance to the parking garage show real-time information about which levels have available parking spaces and which levels that are full.

The various payment method options are divided into clearly marked separate lanes when it is time to exit the parking garage. Payment methods that are accepted are cash, credit cards, Pay & Go as well as SYRiously Fast Express Parking Program for frequent parkers.

Open Lot Parking at Syracuse Airport

The Open Air surface lot at Syracuse International Airport is located adjacent to the parking garage and at a short 5-minute walking distance from the terminal. The parking lot has over 1,200 parking spaces including accessible parking options.

There is also a nearby overflow parking lot that is used during peak traveling periods if the open lot reaches its capacity.

Acceptable payment methods are cash, credit cards, Pay & Go and SYRiously Fast Express Parking Program. Each payment method has a specific lane upon exiting the parking lot to make it more convenient and quicker for all. The lanes are marked with clear signs above each of the lanes.

Cell Phone Waiting Lot at Syracuse Airport

The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is located in the same location as the old Observation Area and greeters can follow the signage for either. The airport terminal is only a couple of minutes’ drive from the Cell Phone Lot.

It is recommended to use the Lot while waiting for arriving travelers to be ready for pick-up on curbside so not to block the curbside as well as improve the flow of traffic around the airport and the terminal.

The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is free of charge to use and there is no time limit as it also is an observation area. However, vehicles must not be left unattended while parked here.

When the traveler has collected their luggage they can simply give the greeter a call to let them know and they will be at the curb within a few minutes.
