After arriving at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR), please remember to collect your entire luggage from the baggage claim area before proceeding to your chosen means of transfer from the airport. Transfer options include rental cars, buses and taxis.
Taxis at SYR
Taxi is really the only certain way for someone to transfer from the airport other than renting a vehicle, at least for going to downtown Syracuse directly. There is an alternative to take a bus to the William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center, but buses depart only once or twice per day.
Taxi to downtown Syracuse will take between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the traffic and where the exact destination is located. It will cost around $35-$45.
Taxi to William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center will take between 5-10 minutes and cost around $20-$25.
Taxis can be found at the taxi ranks located at each end of the terminal building, one outside Terminal A and one outside Terminal B.
Ride Shares at SYR
Lyft and Uber are available at Syracuse Airport. These transfers are arranged by the traveler or their representative through the rideshare company’s smartphone application or website.
Pick-up locations can be found clearly marked at the outside curbside outside the terminal. It is important to choose the correct terminal of arrival. Although there is only one terminal building, there are two terminals, A and B.
